Novel Eye Care Newsletter

Novel Eye Care is celebrating our two-month anniversary! We’ve had some exciting things happening in the last two months. We are so grateful for all of our guests who attended our grand opening " Stock the Shelf" party and especially ones that brought the books! This office was named   “Novel ” after Dr. Koch’s love for reading, and of course, you must see clearly in order to read.

We love seeing new patients walk in the door and take in our cozy little office. Green pumpkins have been added to our shelves and front desk to embrace the fall and match the office décor. We have also added more of a frame selection to our optical. Tom Ford was added in since opening. We now carry Tom Ford, Rayban, Orgreen, Persol, Tiffany, Scott Harris, WOOW, and Dr. Seuss kids frames.

On the medical side of things:

Dr. Koch has been seeing a lot of pink eye cases lately, including in her own family. As the weather changes, school got back into full swing, common allergies, viruses, and bacteria have come out to play.

  • Remember to wash your hands and not rub their eyes to prevent getting pink eye.
  • Cleaning your eye lids and lashes routinely while cleaning your face can also help prevent pink eye.
  • If you do develop a red eye and it’s painful and bothering you, please see an eye doctor, Optometrist or Ophthalmologist. These doctors will be better at taking care of or your eye health than a routine walk in clinic.
  • If you have a red eye or pink eye, this exam is billed to your medical insurance and not your vision insurance, because this is a medical issue.
  • Novel Eye Care takes most medical insurances.

Book of the Month:

Because Novel Eye Care is named after Dr. Koch’s love for reading. This newsletter will have a curated book of the month.

This Month's book is :

Table For Two- by Amor Towles.

"The millions of readers of Amor Towles are in for a treat as he shares some of his shorter six stories set in New York City and a novella in Los Angeles. The New York stories, most of which are set around the turn of the millennium, take up everything from the death-defying acrobatics of the male ego, to the fateful consequences of brief encounters, and the delicate mechanics of compromise which operate at the heart of modern marriages."

Note For Our Patients:

Since we are in downtown Nashville, parking is on the mind of a lot of patients when they get to our office. This is a reminder that parking is FREE for all of our patients during the week day. Also, online appointment booking is now available!

Thank you to all of our patients.
